“This vintage St Jean De Luz poster offers an image that blends cubism with art deco. Created by the artist Robert Mallet-Stevens, his illustration features his own architectural construction known as La Pergola. The art deco, maritime-influenced structure included elegant shops on the ground floor with a casino, movie theatre, and hotel above. It was completed in 1924.

This poster was created just four years later and Mallet-Stevens included his building to promote St Jean De Luz. It is now an apartment building.”
